Safe Kids and FedEx Express Award $5,000 to Katy, Texas Elementary School

Safe Kids Worldwide was joined by Sesame Street’s walkaround Grover, Safe Kids Greater Houston and volunteers from FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp (NYSE: FDX) on Thursday, January 12th to award $5,000 to Loraine T. Golbow Elementary School in Katy, TX.

As Safe Kids' Director of Public Policy, I follow the legislative action going on around carbon monoxide poisoning. This is a very active issue, both on the federal and state level. On the state level, Safe Kids is supporting a Maryland law that would require carbon monoxide detectors in school buildings.
