She has more than a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector and managed fundraising programs at the National Parkinson Foundation and Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure. On Saturday, April 5 more than 450 families and kids of all ages swept through the Lot in West Hollywood for the first ever Safe Kids Day in Los Angeles to help celebrate kids, prevent injuries and save lives.
Safe Kids and the Consumer Electronic Association (CEA)® are teaming up to raise awareness about the risks of unsecured TVs tipping over in the home and to educate parents about the simple things they can do to keep their kids safe. Sadly, every three weeks a child dies from a television tipping over. And every 45 minutes a child is injured.
