The information helps parents insure that the seats are securely belted to the vehicle at all times, even if the seat is unoccupied. As this is a new recall, all information might not be readily available in the VIN locater. If it is not online as yet, try again in the coming week. NHTSA continues to work with manufacturers to identify vehicles included in the recall. For more information visit NHTSA's website regarding the recall. Units: 35-40 million.
