Lead paint is dangerous to children

Common wisdom isn’t always wise. Common wisdom says that lead paint poisoning is no longer a problem.  Here are the facts.

  • But, still, in some school districts, 40% of the children start kindergarten with a health history of exposure to lead paint;
  • And, still, toys on store shelves have lead. Late in January, the Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled Super Luchamania Action Figures covered with lead paint.

The Centers for Disease Control’s healthy homes and lead paint poisoning prevention program sustained a funding cut by 94% in last year’s budget, and now the program is in danger of closing its door. Please join hundreds of others in urging President Obama to provide reasonable funding for this critical problem by signing onto this petition

This is such a problem and yet it is being passed around like a volly ball in our government. Recently the law was passed in 2010 to try and cut lead poisoning with the RRP laws and yet the enforcement from the EPA has been a stumble and fall at best. This needs to be brought back to the center of attention. If we can help: http://www.LeadPaintEPAsupplies.com
