Child Passenger Safety Week 2011On Wednesday, April 18, the Arizona Legislature passed a bill that would require children ages 5-7 who are shorter than 4 feet 10 inches to be in a child restraint system. The bill will soon be forwarded to Governor Jan Brewer for her decision.  If the bill becomes law, Arizona would become the 48th state to have a strong child restraint system law on the books, leaving only Florida and South Dakota.

Safe Kids strongly supports H.R. 2154, which was introduced by Rep. Nancy McLain of Bullhead City, AZ.  If you wish to express your opinion to Governor Brewer, you can email her by going here. Rep. McLain deserves our applause for her leadership in pushing this hard-fought legislation and you can email the Representative here.
