At Play
Play is an essential component of healthy development in children, and playgrounds provide an opportunity for children to develop motor, cognitive, perceptual and social skills. Adults are responsible for creating play environments that are challenging for children but also reasonably safe.
Toddlers love to play and can spend much of their time being active. Whether running on the playground, splashing in the pool or being wheeled around on toys and tricycles, little children are at risk for injury. By actively supervising your toddler, you can help prevent injuries and accidents.
