Pre-teens and Teens at Play

Preteens and teens are busy, riding bikes, skating and scooting around the neighborhood. Sports injury can occur as a result of falls, collisions, being struck by an object or overexertion.

All children, no matter their age, should wear appropriate safety gear and equipment that fits properly. Protective gear is sport-specific and may include mouth guards, shin pads, helmets, elbow pads, knee pads and safety goggles.

Here are few tips to help keep your preteen safe at play:
