Nominate Someone in Your Community for a Safe Kids Buckle Up Badge of Courage. A Badge We Give Out to Individuals Who Took Action To Prevent a Heatstroke Injury or Death in Their Community.

10 minutes is also the time it takes for a car to reach deadly temperatures with a child locked inside.
In these situations, a small act of courage can make a big difference in the life of a child.
We would like to recognize brave individuals who took the time to call 911 when a child was left in a hot car and the professionals who responded to the call. If you know someone who helped saved a young life in this way, show your appreciation by nominating that person for a Safe Kids Badge of Courage Award.
The recipients will be recognized here on our website and will receive an award for their service.
Please email your nominations to Alyssa Hahn: ahahn@safekids.org. Please include the following information for the person you are nominating: Name, Title, Employer, Street Address, City, State, Zip Code, Email, Phone Number. Please give us a brief description of the incident that prompted your nomination and tell us whether the individual is a public safety professional or a private citizen who called 911. And don't forget to include your own name, address, email address and phone number in case we have questions.
