Gary KartonDirector of CommunicationsGary is Safe Kids' Director of Communications. He joined Safe Kids in May 2012. Previously, he worked for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, where he was responsible for public relations and media outreach for policy issues regarding children’s health. He also wrote speeches and conducted media training. Gary has also worked for the Welfare to Work Partnership, where he interactedwith high-level media, the White House, Congress, and hundreds of businesses in promoting welfare to work across the country. He has also been a sports reporter for the Washington Post, and is a big sports fan in his personal life. |

My name is Karla Rauch. I live in Phoenix, Arizona with my wonderful husband, Michael, and our two beautiful boys, Ethan and Emmett. On October 16, 2010, our youngest son Emmett had a tragic accident that changed our lives forever.
