Home Safety Online Campaign Launched in Brazil

November 4, 2011

Safe Kids Brasil

Safe Kids Brazil launched an online campaign focusing on domestic accidents in October as part of Children’s Month in Brazil. The Campaign aims to teach families about injury risks in the home and shows parents ways to protect their children.

The website contains information on six types of accidents within the home. For each type of accident, there are illustrations of several risks that may result in that injury and prevention methods. The initiative, developed in partnership with the F/Biz agency, expects to impact more than 65,000 people through its communication channels. Visit the campaign site.

Communications announcements for the campaign were also launched in October around the question, "What Will I be When I Grow Up?" The two announcements try to provoke thoughts on how many children have their dreams taken away because of fatal accidents: "The World Loses 1,598 Astronauts a Day" and "The World Loses 674 Ballet Dancers a Day." The campaign was conducted voluntarily by Young & Rubicam, a marketing and communications agency.
