Safe Kids Brazil was presented with the "Best Action to Prevent Accidents and Damage to Health" award by Fundaciόn MAPFRE in Spain. The "Online Course for Injury Prevention," for which Safe Kids Brazil won the award, is sponsored by FedEx and Abrapur and was started in 2010 with the aim to raise awareness and train road safety professionals to develop childhood injury prevention activities related to traffic accidents. The online training is intended primarily for educational institutions, government agencies, NGOs, hospitals, firefighters and professionals in education and health in Brazil. In 2012, the training workshop benefited more than 22,000 people. February 15, 2013
