This year Safe Kids Philippines and FedEx Philippines were presented with the 2009 Outstanding International Safe Kids Walk This Way Partnership award. Over the past 12 months, more than 180 FedEx employees in the Philippines have worked closely with Safe Kids on a variety of Walk This Way pedestrian safety initiatives, including International Walk to School Day, PHOTOVOICE Phases I and II, and Safe Kids Week, in addition to dozens of training and educational sessions for children. The concerted efforts of the dedicated team in the Philippines have undoubtedly saved countless children’s lives throughout the country.
