LeadershipPresident and Chief Executive Officer, Safe Kids Worldwide Mitch is a veteran nonprofit executive with 26 years of management experience. He joined Safe Kids Worldwide in April 2008. As president of The Marrow Foundation, Mitch provided the vision and leadership necessary to strengthen the fundraising and recruitment potential of The National Marrow Donor Program, which maintains a registry of more than six million volunteers. Prior to that, Mitch served as president and chief executive officer of the Lance Armstrong Foundation, one of the fastest growing nonprofit organizations in cancer survivorship. Among other things, Mitch implemented the paradigm-changing LiveSTRONG wristband campaign. In his role as president and chief executive officer of the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation, Mitch dramatically increased funding and created the Dana and Christopher Reeve Quality of Life program, which has invested more than $2 million in the disability community every year. Mitch holds a bachelor of science degree from Frostburg State College and a master of arts degree in philanthropy and development from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. He serves on the board of directors of the Lance Armstrong Foundation and The Players Development Academy. Director, International Operations | Director, Safe Kids Walk This Way As Director of Safe Kids Walk This Way, the organization's global pedestrian safety program, Moira is responsible for the development and implementation of pedestrian safety initiatives. Moira has been the pedestrian safety expert for the organization since joining Safe Kids Worldwide in 2005 and has worked in the field of pedestrian safety for the past 10 years. She has appeared on international and national television and radio stations, as well as numerous local television and radio stations across the country. Prior to joining Safe Kids, Moira worked for a multinational Fortune 100 company as an operations manager for six years and taught in inner-city schools in the United States for two years. She holds a bachelor of arts degree from Villanova University, a master of education degree from the University of Virginia, and a master of business administration degree from Johns Hopkins University. |
