Sheel Pandya

Director, Global Network

"I’ve been truly lucky in my career to work on behalf of older persons, and individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. And my luck only continues here at Safe Kids as I have the privilege to support a network of truly dedicated coalitions and partners, both in the United States and abroad, in keeping kids safe from preventable injuries. Someone pinch me!"

Sheel has 15 years of experience working in domestic and international public health, health policy and healthcare law. Here at Safe Kids, she is responsible for providing professional expertise and technical assistance in establishing, growing and sustaining U.S. coalitions and international partners, guiding them in the implementation of community-based programs. Prior to joining Safe Kids, Sheel served as the associate director of public policy at Friends of the Global Fight Against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, and worked at AARP for eight years, first as a policy research specialist and later as a healthcare attorney. Sheel earned a B.S. in neuroscience from the University of Rochester, an M.P.H. in healthcare policy and administration from the Yale School of Public Health, and a J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law.
