In the United States Safe Kids brings injury prevention directly to kids and their families. There are four different ways we do this.

Online

The most visible is SafeKids.org, where you can find the latest information on injury prevention and ways to put your knowledge into action. Our resources will help you protect your own kids and band together with other parents to help protect kids across the country.

Programs

Safe Kids programs and initiatives deliver hands-on education to families around the country. Each Safe Kids program focuses on protecting children and families from a specific injury risk.

Safe Kids also conducts research that helps adults understand the dangers children face. Our research explores how and why injuries happen, and it helps us develop tips and programs that address real problems.

Public Policy

Also, laws and regulations can cause families to change their behavior and increase their awareness of child safety. Safe Kids works hard to ensure that state and federal laws or regulations exist to help prevent unintentional injury to children.

We work with a variety of government agencies and the U.S. Congress to explain how a bill or rule can be improved to better protect children.
