Big Kids (5-9 years)

Big kids seem grown-up in a lot of ways, but you know it’s still a big job to keep them safe. Even if big kids don’t fully understand the dangers of the world around them, parents should explain why safety is important and always be a good role model. Remember, they are watching you just as closely as you are watching them.

On this site, you will find the top tips every parent needs to keep their big kid safe. The information is broken down by age and then organized into three categories (at home, at play and on the way), so you’re sure to find exactly what you need.

There are also other resources like checklists, quick tips and how-to videos that will give you the tools to make your home and car as safe as possible. You can also join our online community where parents can ask questions and share their own tips.

To get started, just click one of the categories below.
