Product Recalls for April 2012
Safe Kids is committed to keeping you informed about recalls of kids’ oriented products. While it is important to keep aware of all recalls, Safe Kids urges you to pay particular attention to ones in red (none in this issue), as they are associated with one or more child deaths.
Safe Kids is now issuing this recall warning list twice a month and provides warnings about especially dangerous recalled products on the Safe Kids homepage.

OTHER PRODUCT NEWS:
Retailers Selling Recalled Products Previously for Sale at Meijer One product involved an infant product which resulted in infant deaths, the Infantino Sling
Consumer Reports warns that recalled products, originally available at Meijer stores, have been turned around for sale at discount retailers, dollar stores, flea markets, and thrift stores nationwide. The U.S. Consumer Safety Commission reported about this illegal resale of a recalled consumer product. The recalling companies listed below complied with the original recall. You should stop using these products and contact the company listed for each original recall. At least one of the recalled products being resold poses a very serious safety hazard to infants and had resulted in at least three deaths, maybe four. In 2010, the CPSC investigated a fatality (the fourth) associated with the Infantino sling.
The other products which may be a danger to children are: Discovery Kids Marine and Safari Lamps, the Fisher-Price Ocean Wonders Kick & Crawl Aquarium, the Fisher Price Little People Wheelies Stand ‘n Play Rampway, the Fisher Price Barbie Tough Trikes and Kawasaki Tough Trikes, Munchkin Bathtub Subs and Sassy Refreshing Rings Infant Teethers/Rattles. 03/12/2012
