Jason Sylvester is a Michigan State Trooper and a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician. The father of four children, Trooper Sylvester is dedicated to keeping all kids safe in and around cars.
Every day, more than 500 children are killed in a road traffic collision, and tens of thousands are injured, often suffering lifelong disabilities. Unless we take action now, the global toll of traffic injuries will explode, placing millions of children at risk.

With the support of the General Motors Foundation, Safe Kids Worldwide surveyed 1,000 parents with children ages 4 to 10 to ask about how their child rides in a car and what leads them to use a booster seat or seat belt.
