December 19, 2024 CPSC; Charmast Power Banks, exclusively sold on Amazon, have been recalled because the lithium-ion battery in the recalled power banks can overheat and ignite, posing fire and burn hazards to consumers. Units: About 488,000.

December 19, 2024 CPSC; Melii Baby recalled its silicone spoons because they can break apart while in use, posing a choking hazard to babies. Units: About 85,100.

December 12, 2024 CPSC; Mr. Christmas recalled its Wireless Decorative Tree Light Controllers because the receiver that plugs into an outlet can overheat, posing a fire hazard. Units: 44,600.

December 12, 2024 CPSC; Yoto reannounces the recall of its Yoto Mini speakers because the speaker’s lithium-ion battery can overheat and catch fire, posing burn and fire hazards to consumers. Units: About 251,165 (an additional ~18,932 in Canada).

December 12, 2024 CPSC; Stanley recalled its Switchback and Trigger Action travel mugs because the mug's lid threads can shrink when exposed to heat and torque, causing the lid to detach during use, posing a burn hazard. Units: About 2.6 million.

December 05, 2024 CPSC; Academy Sports + Outdoors recalled its Redfield 12- and 18-Gun Fireproof Safes because the mechanical internal locking plates can fail to align and allow unauthorized users to open the gun safes, posing a serious injury hazard and risk of death. Units: About 6,100.

November 21, 2024 CPSC; South Shore Cribs recalled its cribs because the spacing between some of the crib’s slats is wider than allowed under the federal safety standard, posing an entrapment hazard to children. Units: About 1,200.

November 21, 2024 CPSC; Todson recalled its Nerf Barrage Youth Bike Helmets because they do not comply with the retention system requirements of the mandatory federal safety regulations for bicycle helmets. The helmets can fail to protect the wearer in the event of a crash, posing a risk of head injury. Units: About 6,500.

November 21, 2024 CPSC; Dorel Home Furnishings recalled its wall beds because they can detach from the wall and fall onto those nearby, posing serious impact and crush hazards. Units: About 69,300.

November 14, 2024 CPSC; New Cosmos USA recalled its DeNova Detect Brand Combination Natural Gas and Carbon Monoxide Alarms because after alerting consumers to the presence of natural gas or carbon monoxide, the recalled alarm can go into sleep mode when the alert lasts less than four minutes. During this time, the alarms can fail to detect and alert consumers to a new incidence of natural gas or carbon monoxide, posing a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. Units: About 26,360.

November 14, 2024 CPSC; Stokke recalled its YOYO³ strollers because the parking brake on the recalled strollers can disengage, posing an injury hazard. Units: About 2,890.

November 7, 2024 CPSC; Baofali Crib Bumpers recalled its Baofali 4-in-1 Microfiber Crib Safety Bumpers because they violate the federal crib bumper ban, posing a suffocation hazard to infants.

November 7, 2024 CPSC; Guava Family recalled its Guava Roam Strollers because the brakes can fail to engage or unexpectedly disengage, posing fall and injury hazards to children. Units: About 8,500.

November 7, 2024 CPSC; Kyte Baby recalled its Slumber Suits because they violate federal flammability regulations for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children. Units: About 20,500.

November 7, 2024 CPSC; Dreamgro recalled its Lullaby mermaid travel soothers because the toy’s gold-colored soft star can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children. Units: About 25, 900.

October 31, 2024 CPSC; Sanven Technology recalled its Vevor Baby Gates because the gates violate the federal safety regulations for expansion gates and expandable enclosures. A child’s torso can fit through the opening between the gate slat and side wall, posing an entrapment hazard to children. Units: About 420.

October 31, 2024 CPSC; HALO recalled its tumblers with a metal straw because the metal straw inside the tumbler can cut your mouth and/or fingers, posing a laceration hazard. Units: About 60,000.

October 24, 2024 CPSC; Ricky Powersports recalled its Tumble Weed Youth and TGB Blade Adult All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) because they fail to comply with the requirements of the federal mandatory ATV safety regulations. The youth ATVs’ mechanical suspension fails to comply with safety requirements, posing a crash hazard. Units: About 385.

October 17, 2024 CPSC; Colsen recalled its Colsen-branded fire pits because use of the recalled fire pits can lead to injury quickly and unexpectedly, causing burns in less than one second, that can be serious and deadly.

October 10, 2024 CPSC; Reyhee Group recalled its Droyd multi-purpose helmets because they do not comply with the positional stability, retention system, impact, labeling and certification requirements of the mandatory federal safety regulations for bicycle helmets. The helmets can fail to protect the wearer in the event of a crash, posing a risk of head injury. Units: About 400.

October 10, 2024 CPSC; Fisher-Price recalled all models of the Fisher-Price Snuga Swings because if the product is used for sleep or bedding material is added, the headrest and body support insert on the seat pad can increase the risk of suffocation. Units: About 2.1 million (an additional ~99,000 in Canada).

October 10, 2024 CPSC; Gimars Playpens recalled its Gimars Playpen with Mat because they violate the federal safety regulations for play yards. The included basketball hoop accessory can be a head entrapment hazard and children can become entrapped beneath the mattress, posing a suffocation hazard. Units: About 6,200.

September 19, 2024 CPSC; CVB recalled its LUCID Platform Beds with Upholstered Square Tufted Headboards because the beds can sag, break, or collapse during use, posing fall and injury hazards to consumers. Units: About 137,000 (an additional ~890 in Canada).

September 19, 2024 CPSC; Jo-Ann Stores recalled its Place & Time battery-operated desk lamps because they can overheat while using the USB charging cord, posing a fire hazard. Units: About 9,700.

September 19, 2024 CPSC; Wee Gallery recalled its Baby Tummy Time Gallery because the art card pockets have clear plastic coverings that contain levels of a phthalate that exceeds the federal phthalates ban. Phthalates are toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects. Units: About 8,000 (an additional, ~50 in Canada).

September 19, 2024 CPSC; The Newmemo Children’s Ring Sets, sold on Amazon, have been recalled because the rings contain levels of lead that exceed the federal lead content ban and levels of cadmium that are prohibited in children’s products by the Federal Hazardous Substances Act. Lead and cadmium are toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects. Units: About 2,200.

September 19, 2024 FDA; The Dynarex Corporation recalled its Dynacare Baby Powder because the product has the potential to be contaminated with asbestos, a known carcinogen, which can cause adverse health effects.

September 12, 2024 CPSC; Intellio Toys recalled its Bright Builder Fort Kits with Flashlights because the flashlight on the kits violates the mandatory federal battery-operated toy regulation because the flashlights contain button cell batteries in a compartment that can be easily opened without requiring the use of a common household tool. When button cell batteries are swallowed, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns, and death, posing an ingestion hazard. Units: About 12, 400.

September 12, 2024 CPSC; MJKSARE High Chairs recalled its high chairs violate the regulations for high chairs, as the leg openings on the high chair are too wide, posing an entrapment hazard to infants. Additionally, the high chairs pose a fall hazard because the tray can become disengaged from the product. Units: Abou 4,760.

September 12, 2024 CPSC; GOETAS Pool Drain Covers recalled its drain covers do no conform to the entrapment protection regulations of the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act (VGBA), posing an entrapment hazard to swimmers and bathes. Units: About 2,500.

September 12, 2024 CPSC; Red Toolbox recalled its Stanley Jr. Kids Wheelbarrow and 7-pierce Garden Sets because the painted long hoe and rake of the recalled garden set contain levels of lead that exceed the federal lead paint ban, posing a lead poisoning hazard to children. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health issues. Units: About 459,200 (an additional ~60,480 in Canada).

September 5, 2024 CPSC; Delta Cycle recalled its Ceiling Hoists with Straps because the plastic buckles on he straps being used to hold a kayak, canoe, or other large objects with the ceiling hoist can break, posing an injury hazard to consumers. Units: About 25, 140 (an additional ~3,390 in Canada).

September 4, 2024 FDA; Smiths Medical recalled certain Bivona® Tracheostomy Tubes, including Neonatal/Pediatric Tracheostomy Tubes, because the securement flange of these products may tear because of a manufacturing defect.
