Mrs. Butler

I am nominating Mrs. Butler for America's Favorite Crossing Guard for many reasons. Mrs. Butler is so friendly, to the students of Grindstone Elementary School, to their Parents and to the staff who work there. It is so refreshing to see her smiling face first thing in the morning and the last smile as you leave work, for the day. Passerby and those in cars get their daily dose of smiles and waves too. Mrs. Butler joins in the fun and participates in every Holiday, by dressing up and amusing the children.

On a more serious note, Mrs. Butler takes her responsibilities of keeping the students at Grindstone Elementary School safe, while crossing the street, before and after school.

As we all know, the weather around our area can be pleasant and balmy one day and stormy and treacherous the next. Mrs. Butler can be depended on to be at her post during all weather conditions.

She has been a school crossing guard for two years and is truly an asset to the Berea Schools.

I am one of the School Resource Officers for Grindstone Elementary School and have had the pleasant and unpleasant job of crowd control and that of directing traffic. I certainly understand and appreciate her services as I have been in her position in numerous occasions. What is amazing is that she returns every morning and afternoon, with a smile, to ensure the safety of our students. Please accept this nomination for Mrs. Butler, as the America's Favorite Crossing Guard, it is well deserved.
