May 20, 2015 CPSC: Electrolux is voluntarily recalling its Kenmore Elite dual fuel ranges because of fire and burn hazards when the burner flame goes out allowing gas to escape. Product is exclusively sold at Sears. Units: 250
May 19, 2015 NHTSA: Takata is voluntarily recalling airbags used in 33.8 million cars because of airbags inflating with high force and propelling shrapnel into passengers. This is an expansion of an earlier recall. Automakers that are involved include: BMW, Chrysler, Daimler Trucks, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru and Toyota. Owners are strongly encouraged to determine whether their car is involved and seek to have the airbag replaced. In an easy two-step process, you can find out if your vehicle is affected by using NHTSA’s Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) search tool. May 12, 2015 CPSC: IKEA is voluntarily recalling its pressure-mounted safety gates (Patrull Klämma and Patrull Smidig) because its design does not allow the gate to be held in its intended position, posing a fall hazard.
