July 27, 2021 CPSC; Facebook Technologies recalled their Removable Foam Facial Interfaces for Oculus Quest 2 Virtual Reality Headsets because they can cause facial skin irritation and reactions including rashes, swelling, burning, itches, hives and bumps. Units: About 4 million (an additional 172,600 sold in Canada).
July 22, 2021 CPSC; Bel Furniture recalled its Barrington 5-Drawer Chests because they are unstable if not anchored to a wall, posing tip-over and entrapment hazards to children. Units: About 90.
July 21, 2021 CPSC; Rite Aid recalled its Rechargeable Handheld Fans because their lithium ion batteries can overheat while charging, posing a fire hazard. Units: About 9,780.
July 21, 2021 CPSC; American Outdoor Brands recalled its Caldwell Earmuff with Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery Packs because wiring inside the battery pack can detach and cause the unit to overheat, posing fire and burn hazards. Units: About 13,740 (an additional 88 sold in Canada).
July 15, 2021 CPSC; Real Flame recalled its Arroyo and Hideaway Wood Burning Fire Pits because wood stored under the unit can ignite, posing a fire hazard. Units: About 700 (an additional 81 sold in Canada).
July 14, 2021 CPSC; Walgreens recalled Disney Baby Winnie the Pooh Rattle Sets because the rattle’s feet can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children. Units: About 54,000.
July 14, 2021 CPSC; Academy Sports + Outdoors recalled its Ozone 500 Girls’ and Boys’ Elevate 24-Inch Bicycles because their rear shock spring can become stuck, creating a pinch point between the spring and seat, posing fall and injury risks to the rider. Units: About 3,860.
July 8, 2021 CPSC; LoHi Tech recalled its SOWTECH Espresso Machines because their glass carafe can break while in use, posing a burn hazard to consumers. Units: About 24,000.
July 8, 2021 CPSC; Canyon Furniture recalled its Creekside Children’s Chest of Drawers because they are unstable if not anchored to a wall, posing tip-over and entrapment hazards to children. Units: About 1,200.
July 7, 2021 CPSC; One Twenty Clothing Company recalled its Sovereign Athletic Children’s Robes because they fail to meet the federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children. Units: About 140.
July 1, 2021 CPSC; TBD Liquids recalled its liquid nicotine products because their packaging is not child-resistant as required by the Child Nicotine Poisoning Prevention Act, posing a risk of poisoning if the contents are swallowed or touched by young children. Units: About 1,900.
July 1, 2021 CPSC; Rejuvenation recalled its Deep Frame Mirrors because the mirror can detach and fall out of the frame, posing laceration and injury hazards. Units: About 3,325.
