Senior Manager of Equity and Child Safety

Dawne Gardner, MBA, CPST, holds the position of Senior Manager of Equity and Child Safety at Safe Kids Worldwide. In this role, she is responsible for managing the execution of the organization's comprehensive equity and child safety strategy. Additionally, she provides guidance for the growth and advancement of Safe Kids' strategic framework to reach communities that have historically been marginalized and underserved. Dawne also oversees the Safe Kids Equity Advisory Committee. Prior to joining Safe Kids Worldwide, she worked for over 15 years in injury prevention at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in Ohio. During this time, she focused on the development and implementation of prevention programs in underserved and marginalized communities. Her focused work played a significant role in eliminating disparities and addressing barriers to childhood injury prevention. As a result, there have been measurable decreases in the frequency of pediatric unintentional injuries treated in local emergency rooms in the area.
