Shane Simenstad

Director of Public Policy

As Director of Public Policy, Shane is responsible for coordinating Safe Kids’ government relations strategy and engagement of federal policymakers on child safety issues including road, water, and consumer product safety with a particular focus on systemic drivers of injury. He also oversees the policy team’s provision of technical support to the Safe Kids coalition network in their engagements with local and state level public officials. Shane holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison
