07/23/2013 CPSC: Kids II is voluntarily recalling Baby Einstein Activity jumpers because the “sun” toy attachment can rebound or snap with force and pose an impact hazard to infants.
Los Angeles, CA. (April 16, 2015) – Safe Kids Worldwide announced today that annual Safe Kids Day events will be held around the country throughout April. These events, supported by presenting sponsor Nationwide, will bring together families, celebrities and donors to raise awareness and funds to prevent childhood injuries, the number one cause of death for children in the United States.
Numerous celebrities and athletes are joining the effort as Safe Kids Day Celebrity Heroes:
“You should probably sit out for a few practices, just in case,” my trainer said the day after I was struck in the head by a field hockey ball. An opponent’s powerful shot on goal had struck the side of my head, leaving me dazed for several minutes. I wasn’t showing any symptoms of a concussion the day after, but extra precaution was always in my trainer’s mind. Hits to the head were not an unusual occurrence. Throughout each season, at least one teammate had to sit out because of a possible concussion.
