After 4 years working at Safe Kids Worldwide, I finally got registered for a car seat certification course. It was long overdue. In New York, Governor Andrew Cuomo has just a few days left to act on a piece of legislation (S 6523) making kids safer in and around cars. The bill would require children under the age of 2 to be placed in a rear-facing car seat unless the child exceeds the size and weight limits of the car seat set by the manufacturer.
