July 22, 2015 CPSC: Ikea is voluntarily issuing a safety part replacement for children’s and adult chests and dressers because the chests and dressers can tip over if not attached to the wall, posing an entrapment hazard. Units: 27 million

July 23, 2015 CPSC: UPPAbaby is voluntarily recalling 2015 CRUZ , 2015 VISTA strollers and 2015 RumbleSeat because the strollers’ and RumbleSeats’ bumper bar poses a choking hazard when a child bites the bumper bar and removes a piece of the foam covering. Units: 79,000 in the US and Canada

July 31, 2015 CPSC: NVIDIA is voluntarily recalling NVIDIA SHIELD tablet computers because the lithium-ion battery in the tablets can overheat, posing a fire hazard. Units: 87,000 US and Canada.

July 30, 2015 CPSC:Stork Craft is voluntarily recalling foam crib mattresses because the crib mattresses fail to meet the mandatory federal mattress flammability standard for open flames, posing a fire hazard. Units: 18,500

July 30 2015 CPSC:Nipponflex is voluntarily recalling Nipponflex Smart Flex and Smart Care mattresses because the mattresses fail to meet the mandatory federal flammability standard for mattresses, posing a fire hazard. Units: 400

July 30, 2015 CPSCS: ACCO Brands is voluntarily recalling Quartet Magnetic and Dry Erase Boards because sharp metal edges on the back of the boards can become exposed while removing mounted boards, posing a laceration hazard. Units: 3.3 million

July 29, 2015 CPSC: Whirlpool is voluntarily recalling Jenn-Air Single, Double Wall Ovens and Combination Microwave/Wall Ovens because the extendable roller rack can unexpectedly disengage when fully extended, posing a risk of burns to consumers. Units: 41,000 US and Canada

July 28, 2015 CPSC: Arctic Cat is voluntarily recalling the Arctic Cat Prowler 500 HDX because fuel can leak from the fuel fitting at the throttle body, posing a fire hazard. Units: 2,700

July 28, 2015 CPSC: Diamond Sports is voluntarily recalling Diamond Sports face masks because stitching on the face mask’s harness can fail causing the mask to loosen or come off, posing a risk of impact injury. Units: 10,000

July 28, 2015 CPSC: Kyber Outerwear is voluntarily recalling chilldren’s sweaters because of a strangulation hazard involving the drawstring which can get caught on playground slides, school bus doors and other moving objects. Units: 3,100

July 23, 2015 CPSC: Briggs & Stratton is voluntarily recalling Briggs & Stratton Simplicity Riding Mowers, Garden Tractors and Mower Decks because the chute deflector on the riding mowers and garden tractors can fail to prevent projectiles from being expelled. This poses a risk of injury to consumers from projectiles. Units: 2,800

July 23, 2015 CPSC: Polaris is voluntarily recalling Polaris Youth RZR recreational off-highway vehicles because the vehicle’s fuel pump retaining ring can leak, posing a fire hazard. Units: 4,300

July 22, 2015 CPSC: Teavana is voluntarily recalling Tristan glass pitchers because the glass pitchers can break or leak, posing laceration and/or burn hazards to consumers if filled with hot tea. Units: 56,800 in the US and Canada

July 22, 2015 CPSC: Cost Plus World Market is recalling Ronan Bistro Chairs because the rear metal legs can bend unexpectedly and cause the chair to become unbalanced, posing a fall hazard to the user. Units: 9,200

July 22, 2015 CPSC: Sunrise Global Marketing is voluntarily recalling GreenWorks blower/vacs because the blower/vac’s motor can catch fire, posing fire and burn hazards. Units: 14,000

July 21, 2015 CPSC: Acorn Stairlifts is voluntarily recalling motorized stair lifts because the stair lift's seat post can separate from the main seat support, posing a fall hazard. Units: 34,500

July 21, 2015 CPSC: Target is voluntarily recalling Circo Night Lights because the battery can overheat and cause the night light to melt, posing a fire hazard. Units: 143,000. 

July 17 , 2015 CPSC: EKO is voluntarily recalling Motion Sensor Trash Cans sold exclusively at Costco because the black plastic protective collar in the opening on the back of the trash receptacle can become dislodged and expose a sharp edge, posing a risk of laceration to the user. Units: 367,000

July 16, 2015 CPSC: Reliance Worldwide is voluntarily recalling Cash Acme Heatguard Temperature Actuated Flow Reducing (TAFR) Devices because the thermal element in the TAFR can fail to operate, causing the users to come in contact with water that is hotter than expected. This poses a risk of scalding injury. Units: 26,000

July 15, 2015 CPSC: Olympus is voluntarily recalling Olympus VG 170 Digital Cameras because an improperly installed part can touch the camera’s circuit board, posing an electric shock risk to the user. Units: 1,200

July 15, 2015 CPSC: Bexco Is voluntarily recalling DaVinci Cribs because a metal bracket that connects the mattress support to the crib can break, creating an uneven sleeping surface or a gap. If this occurs, a baby can become entrapped in the crib, fall or suffer lacerations from the broken metal bracket. Units: 11,700 in the US and Canada

July 15 2015 CPSC: Double Insight is voluntarily recalling Instant Pot Pressure Cookers because the thermal probe in the base can conduct electricity throughout the cooker, posing a risk of electric shock. Units: 1,140 in the US and Canada

July 15, 2015 CPSC: Avon is voluntarily recalling all Nut choppers because the tines of the grinding mechanism can break and those fragments can fall into the food being chopped, posing a risk of injury to consumers. Units: 32,100 in the US and Canada

July 15, 2015 CPSC: Specialized Bicycle Components Inc. is voluntarily recalling all Pedal Axle Extenders because the Pedal Axle Extenders can break, and the rider can lose control, posing a fall hazard. Units: 6,880 in the US and Canada

July 15, 2015 CPSC: Cooper Lighting is voluntarily recalling fluorescent lighting fixtures because the socket can overheat, arc and melt, posing a fire hazard. Units: 1.64 million in the US and Canada

July 9, 2015 CPSC: Jake's Fireworks is voluntarily recalling all Yo Yo Sparklers because the sparklers burn faster and with a larger flame than normal. They can burn down the stick towards users' hands, posing a burn hazard. The company has received at least 12 reports of consumers experiencing serious burns as a result of this defect. Units: 651,500

July 9, 2015 CPSC: Black Diamond is voluntarily recalling all JetForce Black Diamond, Pieps and POC model airbag packs because the motor can malfunction and prevent the airbag from deploying, increasing the risk of injury or death. Units: 1,200 US and Canada

July 9, 2015 CPSC: Ӧhlins USA is voluntarily recalling Ӧhlins RXF 48 front forks for motocross bikes because the front fork can break or detach, posing a crash hazard. Units: 50

July 9, 2015 CPSC: Hearth & Home Technologies is voluntarily recalling Quadra-Fire Mt. Vernon E2 Pellet Stoves and inserts because fuel can back up, creating unstable combustion and a pressure build up inside the firebox and glass can break, posing a laceration hazard.  Units: 2,000

July 9, 2015 CPSC: Hearth & Home Technologies is voluntarily recalling Heat-N-Glo and Heatilator Corner Unit Series indoor gas fireplaces because the back of the firebox can bow out, posing a fire hazard.  Units: 2,500

July 9, 2015 CPSC: Epoca International is voluntarily recalling all Glass Whistle Kettles because the bottom portion of glass vessel can break when heated and the contents can spill, posing laceration and burn hazards. Units: 113,00

July 8, 2015 CPSC: Barnett Outdoors is voluntarily recalling sports and hunting slingshots because the slingshot’s wrist strap can slip off the wrist brace when the slingshot’s pouch is pulled back which can result in the body of the slingshot snapping back and striking the user.  Units: 104,000 US and Canada

July 1, 2015 CPSC: Otteroo is voluntarily recalling the Otteroo Inflatable Baby Floats because the seam on the flotation device can leak air and deflate, posing a risk of drowning.  Units: 3,000
