Johnson & Johnson

As our founding sponsor, Johnson & Johnson has been working with Safe Kids Worldwide since 1988 to teach families about preventable childhood injuries. Johnson & Johnson’s long time support has helped Safe Kids develop programs, hold local educational events, do research, advocate for policy and spread the word about injury prevention through the media and online.

At Johnson & Johnson, we want all children to grow up healthy and well. As the founding sponsor of Safe Kids in 1988, we have worked collaboratively, for 28 years, on multiple risk areas that pose the greatest threat to children around the world. We have sponsored research and local programming, provided targeted national education messages and more, all with the goal of keeping kids active, healthy and safe.

Protecting Kids from Preventable Injuries

Johnson & Johnson’s extensive work on medication, water, fire, home, bike and youth sports safety has helped contribute to a 60 percent decrease in the unintentional injury rate among children 19 and younger in the United States.

Johnson & Johnson, the founding sponsor thirty years ago of Safe Kids Worldwide, continues to contribute to the global reduction of childhood injury. We are fortunate to have such a noble collaboration which creates the capacity to provide a ‘vaccine’ for children to prevent death and disability from injury. Communities throughout the world are appreciative of the commitment of Johnson & Johnson to their children and families.
