Be Seen on Halloween
Costumes. Candy. Spooky stories. Ghoulish games. These are some of the many reasons kids look forward to Halloween every year. And as adults, we look forward to seeing our kids adorably dressed up as witches and wizards, vampires and zombies, fairies and superheroes – and anything else they can imagine.
Safe Kids and FedEx are teaming up again to help families stay safe on the spookiest night of the year. Here are some quick tips to share with your little goblins before Halloween night arrives.
Be Safe, Be Seen
As the sun sets and the trick-or-treating begins, there’s one easy thing parents can do to make sure the night is more fun and less fright: Be Seen on Halloween.
Make it easier for drivers to see your kids, as they dart from house to house collecting candy in the dark. Using items that can be found online, at party stores, sporting good stores or mass retailers, you can easily add visibility to your child’s costume. Here are some ideas:
- Flashlights
- Glow sticks
- Reflective wristbands or tape

Share Your Costume Creativity on Instagram and #BeSeenOnHalloween
We want to see the creative ways you’ve incorporated visibility into your child’s costume! Share a photo of your kids’ flashing, glowing or reflecting costume to show us how you’re keeping them safe this Halloween, and you will be entered for a chance to receive a $50 Amazon gift card.
How to enter:
- Follow @safekidsworldwide on Instagram.
- Take a photo of your kid in costume, showing off whatever you’ve used to make them more visible on Halloween.
- Share your photo on Instagram, using the hashtag #BeSeenOnHalloween.
We will select three photos in a random drawing, on or before November 5, 2014. These submissions will be reposted by @safekidsworldwide on Instagram, and tagged to notify the lucky recipients of the $50 Amazon gift cards.

How it works
Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. on October 31, 2014. Participants will need an Instagram account and should follow @safekidsworldwide on Instagram. Participation is open to individuals 18 years and older within the United States. Photo submissions must include the #BeSeenOnHalloween hashtag in the caption/comments to be eligible. By submitting your photo, you certify that you own the content, and give Safe Kids Worldwide permission to repost your photo on the @safekidsworldwide Instagram account, with attribution given to your username in the caption/comments. Photos selected in the random drawing will be reposted on the @safekidsworldwide Instagram account, with the participant’s account tagged for notification, along with instructions for receiving the gift card.
Three photos will be selected in a random drawing of all eligible submissions, on or before November 5, 2014. The participants submitting each selected photo will receive an Amazon gift card valued at $50 (US). Multiple entries are permitted, but only one card is allowed per individual entrant.
