Child Passenger Safety Week

During this special time of the year dedicated to keeping kids safe in cars and on the road, Safe Kids and our 400 coalitions are asking every parent and caregiver to take just a few minutes to make sure their car seat is used and installed properly. Just a simple checkup can make a big difference for the safety of your family.

And we’re going to make it easy.

To all the new and expecting moms and dads out there, congratulations. You’re going to be amazing parents and we'll be right here with you so you're not alone.

Baby Safety Month is all about getting you the information you need to put your mind at ease when it comes to the safety of your new baby.

So here are six simple tips to get you started.

car heatstroke safety

As summer temperatures continue to climb across the country, it’s important to remember that while these summer days are great for the pool and the beach, they’re not so good for the inside of cars, which can raise to deadly temperatures in a very short period of time.

Sadly, since 1998, at least 910 children across the United States have died from heatstroke.

With spring cleaning already underway, the American Cleaning Institute and Safe Kids Worldwide have teamed up to remind parents and caregivers to be especially attentive about keeping cleaning products out of the reach and sight of children.
